Statement — Alyh (flagship store)
In the Statement flagship store, virtual muse Alyh takes form: she lives behind the window and reacts, day and night, to those who pass by.
A phygital installation produced for the Statement flagship store (rue du 29 Juillet, Paris 1st), delivered in 2020. The idea: to give form, inside the store, to the virtual muse Alyh developed by Traum Studio. On a vertical wall of screens, Alyh lives and reacts live, thanks to a handmade sensor system that detects the movement and gaze of visitors, but also passersby on the street, in front of the window. The universe, the environment, and the weather are generative, and one can interact with the muse day and night, including from outside. The sensors feed a Smode media server that handles video and audio playback. I handled technical direction, art direction, creative technology, and the sensor work.
Technical details
Virtual muse Alyh, developed by Traum Studio, takes form on a vertical wall of screens.
