The Carlos Computer Club is a generative art installation and a live A.V. experience that turns the audience into co-author of a work in real time. An augmented mirror captures silhouettes and movements and responds to the audience's words (prompts) to generate a living, bespoke visual fresco. It comes in several formats, from a VJing night driven by the DJ's beat to a prompt battle, and has already taken over We Are French Touch (BPI), Scopitone, Stereolux and La Rotonde in 2025. Technical details
Like Ars Automata: a local Edge AI architecture, open source models, on-device generation at 30 images per second, with no cloud dependency. The internet is used only in two cases: retrieving prompts from the audience, who prompt from their smartphones rather than a dedicated station, or identifying tracks via Shazam in live mode. Custom-trained LoRAs shape the aesthetic, and the system also drives lighting (DMX) and generates audio in response to the audience.
